The Nintendo Wii-Fit is the top selling single-console game in the US according to sales figures for the month of February 2009. Japan's National Institute of Health and Nutrition found out that doing the Wii Fit hula hoop game was the equivalent of "light walking" or playing golf without using a golf cart.
Women like the Wii-Fit more than men it appears from sales figures. In related news reality TV star Kelly Osbourne, daughter of legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne, used the wii-fit to lose weight. Seventeen Magazine reports that Kelly dropped four sizes using the Wii-Fit! Osbourne makes a comeback with the March 31 Fox special called "Osbournes Reloaded."
Kelly Osbourne, who recently came out of rehab, told People Magazine that she became addicted to prescription drugs as a teenager. "I had my tonsils taken out [at 13], and they gave me liquid Vicodin," she says. "I found, when I take this, people like me. I'm having fun, I'm not getting picked on. It became a confidence thing."
