Wii Donkey Kong motion control

The new Donkey Kong Jungle Beat replaces the old game's motion control plastic bongos with the Wii remote and nunchuk.

The older version of Donkey Kong can still be played on the Wii with the plastic bongos using the Gamecube controller ports. Unfortunatly you can't use the plastic bongos with the new game! The premise of the old game remains; making Donkey Kong collect as many bananas as possible in each level and expending them in fights with the evil animals. The longer you go without touching the ground, the higher your combo meter becomes, leading to massive amounts of bananas. The nunchuk controls Donkey Kong's motion while the Wii-remote helps you to attack enemies or grab items.

Donkey Kong Jungle Beat is not confined to the jungle; snowy landscapes (from wii.ign.com) and fiery volcanoes provide a refreshing change to the greenery. The only drawback in the game is the lack of a multiplayer; throwing punches with the Wiimote may feel less exciting to those used to beating madly on the bongos! On the plus side the new game has slick 3D graphics and motion control is smoother on the Wii. Donkey Kong Jungle Beat is available on Amazon for $27.99.
