Motion sensory gaming sans controller

The Nintendo Wii introduced the concept of motion sensory gaming, and now Microsoft is ready with its version....with a critical difference. Project Natal is a motion-based system that doesn't require any form of physical controller. Player motions are detected through a number of cameras and sound sensors.

According to information leaked to the British gaming magazine MCV, Natal will come out next November and will be priced in the $50 to $80 range. The hardware will be bundled with all Xbox 360 rigs, and will also be available as an add-on for current Xbox 360 owners. It will also include 14 pre-installed games. Sony's motion sensory hardware for the PS3 will come out later this year, but will require a physical controller.
